Integration through Transformation
Changes of perspective can lead to different interpretations and evaluations of the same situation or the same behavior. Such apparent contradictions trigger hardenings which obstruct the view of the common core at the origin.
In “Entkantung” a few core cells are subject to such opposing interpretations: powerfully massive motif colorings are set against warmly refracting facets of the same basic elements. Sharply cutting, edged material stands seemingly irreconcilably opposite filigree, shimmering realizations.
Hymn
In the development of the music, such opposites approach a multilayered wholeness only hesitantly. Only a striking drum rhythm breaks the ambivalences, binds the hitherto antagonistic poles into a new wholeness which unfolds hymnically and joins calm and strength into broad, new streams.
