"Minotaurus is a choreographic staging about the strategic varieties of a bullying situation. As an example, 4 children act here, who meet in a children’s room. Three children turn against the girl who joined last; they play out all kinds of direct and indirect bullying. The group gradually plans her exclusion. The victim plays into their hands.
Driven away from the group’s children’s room into imaginary, labyrinthine, inner loneliness, the bullied girl experiences the Kafkaesque transformation of childlike innocence and despair into the animalistic, furious and monstrous. She becomes the Minotaur, lonely, different, aggressive, yet remains childlike. Even in this state she waits for playmates. The three perpetrator children one after another penetrate into her labyrinth. A destructive process takes its course. In the end, all are victims of their lack of humanity, of their deed.
A fierce, dynamic piece about the senselessness, the sadness, the sometimes randomness of violence.
For adults and children aged 7 and up."
