Time Transformations

Time transforms itself in a meta-space, which in turn is subject to multidimensional changes in cascaded meta-spaces.

Just as beings in a world describable exclusively as a two-dimensional plane can experience any three-dimensionality merely as projections, which for them nevertheless constitute a complete wholeness, it is alien to human forms of imagination to grasp time as a multiply nested structure in change. Though representable in mathematical models of multidimensional vector spaces, a quality of experience of time-being can for the most part be experienced only in holistic metaphors.

My composition "Zur Beugung des Zeitkerns" approaches such a metaphor through the opening of sound spaces that lead ever further into a trance-like depth.

I use subtle polyphonic metamorphoses of speed and composed-out transformation processes of exaggerated overtone spectra here as compositional methods to lead the listener to the beauty of polyphonic time-within-time contexts.
